Care post
CarePost, is a mobile unit that each patient in Corridor Care will receive on arrival. CarePost has many features, such as three types of storage, a table, charging capabilities, a light to attract the attention of medical staff and a mobile drip.

THe Problem
Due to overcrowding in hospitals, patients are experiencing extended waiting hours in an Emergency Department with waiting periods ranging from between 2 to 72 hours. An unfortunate outcome of this is the rising usage of trolleys, whereby patients are waiting to trolleys in corridors, rather than on beds in treatment rooms.
a possible solution
CarePost provides the patient with a comfortable, safe, and secure user experience as they wait for hospital admittance whilst also simplifying patient management for the health care team.

There are many features of CarePost for the patients such as:
Storage, including lockable storage, large storage for clothes, and accessories storage for crutches.
USB ports, from which a patient can charge their phone or other personal belongings.
Table, for food and drink.
Light, for attracting the attention of a clinician in the Emergency Department.
Clip for an IV bag, to attach an IV bag so that the patient can be mobile while on an IV line.
